About

jlhI’m an associate professor at Pratt Institute School of Information where I also coordinate the School Library Program. I teach courses on teaching and learning in libraries, young adult literature, whether and how to use technology for instruction, and feminist & intersectional theories. My research interests include the nexus of youth culture and technology, informal literacy practices, discourses of teaching and teachers, and feminist theory and practice. Other passions include Antigone, SPF 15+,  contemporary fiction, and briny foods. I proudly hail from St. Louis, MO and now live in Brooklyn, NY with my partner and our kid.
